This installation consists of two rooms, one in which live butterflies hatch from pupae embedded in white paintings, and another in which dead butterflies are pressed onto the surfaces of brightly coloured canvasses.
" And to our surprise, we found that nurse bees with pupae slept even less than the bees that were housed with feeding larvae." These babies, it seemed, needed the bee equivalent of swaddling.
At the same time I laid on the same place a small parcel of the pupae of another species, F. flava, with a few of these little yellow ants still clinging to the fragments of their nest.
