I just averaged together all the ratings, and even though each one was imperfect, their collective signal was a lot stronger than any one element alone.
When you take all these imperfect signals — so everybody has a little signal, but they have a lot of noise — when you just average them together, what happens is not what you would think.
The shattered moon particles would have spread around Saturn, and any of them that were on a tilted orbit would quickly collide with others, and in the end that would average out all their orbits to form a flattened ring.
